Friday Question #16
One of Steven’s coworkers asked him this at work yesterday:
If you had to choose somebody to read the entire phone book to you, who would you choose and why?
I would choose Sean Connery, because I love his accent.

Ugh, whomever could put me to sleep fastest. I don’t care who was reading it, I’d probably go nuts.

Elizabeth Hurley. I like her everything.

someone with an Irish accent!

Sean is an excellent choice. I’d also be partial to Morgan Freeman.

Christian Bale, because I am obsessed with him. And he’d use his natural Brittish accent.
He would be in the same room reading it to me, right?

Eddie Izzard because I’m guessing he could even make the phone book funny.

I’m surprised no one has said James Earl Jones. He’s always good.

I reposted this with my answers! I gave a few options: JEsse Spencer, Clive Owen, Billy Boyd, or Hugh Laurie.

Christopher Walken. He has an interesting rendition of everything. And if it was getting boring, he would probably start dancing or something.

Sean Connery would definitely be my first choice! My second would be Gerard Butler, with his natural accent.
Maybe I should move to Scotland …

Wow! Talk about a great question!
And a tough one to answer… if I could amend the question to singing instead of speaking, I’d say Kate Pierson of the B-52s. I love her singing voice and can only imagine how cool it would be to hear the phone book contents sung like “Rock Lobster” or “Love Shack.” But I also like Sara Bareilles’ singing and speaking voices as I’ve talked to her after a show before. Hmm… tough choice, indeed.

James Earl Jones… what a voice!
