Then, Sweets slammed on his brakes and threw on his hazard lights. Turns out 2 geese and 3 goslings were crossing the highway. The car ahead of us began honking his horn and sort of chasing the geese off the highway. It was unbelievable that situation didn't conclude with road kill or a crash! But there is a furniture store in south Naperville where one goose was attacking patrons and it turned out his mate had a nest in a garden near the entrance. They became "adopted," per se, by the store and its employees and they're currently running a naming contest for the seven hatchlings. The parents are Fred and Wilma. They've been featured in everything from the Naperville Sun to the Chicago Sun-Times to ABC7 news. Me? I'd call them all pate. I hate geese. Vile, shit-filled, angry winged heathens.
