I can't stand anything pickled. Also, mushrooms make me nauseous, even the smell of them cooking makes me want to vomit.

My best friend is deadly allergic to black pigment in food, like black olives. She often avoids pizza places because of the risk of cross contamination.

Food I don't eat:

As a vegetarian/vegan myself, I also abstain from the meat/dairy/eggs mixture. However, I'm also allergic to some fruits/vegetables such as carrots, celery, potatoes, and apples. Only when those items are raw. When they're cooked I'm fine. Oral Allergy Syndrome. Yay me, right? Oh and I'm also allergic to soy milk, which is why I drink Almond Milk. Plus, I think it tastes better. :-)

But I avoid olives too. And mushroom when they're whole or well, look like they just came from the ground. If they're cooked up and cut up small they're OK, I guess.

Not saying I'm much a fan either, but - brussel sprouts aren't *so* bad if you roast them in the oven with liberal helpings of butter and pepper, maybe some garlic... :-)

Um, there's a LOT I don't eat. I blame it on my parents. My dad was a very picky eater and my mom had all sorts of spice allergies so I grew up on probably a dozen fairly bland dishes. Now I can't stomach a lot of foods. My list of stuff I don't eat includes:

seafood (unless it's breaded fish sticks)
tomato sauce
cabbage
nuts (but I do like creamy peanut butter)
most varieties of beans
anything spicy

Those are just the things I can think of off the top of my head. I assure you, there are many others.

I'll try most food, but there are certainly some tastes I avoid. Sour cream, sauer kraut, brussel sprouts, green olives, anchovies/sardines/fishy-fish, liver...

I also don't care for beer or wine, though I'm fine with many mixed drinks. Well, mostly if they're made with Rum or Tequila.

I think it's interesting that people can categorically throw out "fast food" when there is such a huge variety of it available now, all across the spectrum from completely unhealthy, greasy, fatty, salty fried food to quite healthy food. I usually just assume that people mean traditional burgers & fries or similar when they deride fast food.

For lunch today I had a grilled chicken sandwich, no mayo, with lettuce, tomatoes and pickles on a wheat bun. As my side I had a yogurt parfait with granola. This was at Chick-fil-A and is one of my current favorites for lunch. It's not cheap though -- $7.19 with a medium drink (Diet Coke) and tax. The same thing at McDonald's is somewhat cheaper, more like $5, but not as good. Swap out the grilled chicken sandwich for a McDouble and the price goes down to $3.

I do not eat lima beans and I won't touch beans (black beans, kidney beans, etc.) unless they are in a burrito (like Amy's) where I can't taste them much or feel their texture. I do eat chickpeas (I don't count them). This excludes baked beans and chili (unless it's bean-less haha) from my diet! Unfortunately it seems that whenever my fiance and I go to his parents house or relatives house there are baked beans...GROSS! Its funny too because he doesn't like them either. Oh well!

hmm... i WILL eat anything, but i have a lot of "do not love" items. and usually only in certain contexts. like, i don't want peppers on my pizza or sandwiches, but i like sweet peppers themselves. i don't love brussel sprouts or asparagus, but will happily eat both if prepared well :-)
