I have only been to Red Lobster once but LOVED their biscuits…..mmm!!! And I am intrigued by nutritional yeast – anything with the word “yeast” DOES freak me out, but I want to try it. I wonder where I can get it??

Your meal looks SO good! Surprisingly, we didn’t really eat chicken and biscuits growing up. We were *that family* that had pasta 4-5 nights a week.

Dumplings are cooked in the broth/stew mixture of whatever is being made. The dough is formed into little balls and then those are dropped right into the sauce mixture and they cook that way. That’s why they are more doughy and soft. Biscuits are cooked in the oven, which leaves them a bit dryer and “crispy”. I am officially a food dork now I think. LOL

The vegan chicken and biscuits look amazing! And I don’t think it looks like vomit because let’s be honest, actual chicken and dumplings or biscuits sort of looks like bad cat food anyway. It’s just not a “pretty” dish, but who cares because it tastes good!

A Holiday Thought…

Aren’t humans amazing Animals? They kill wildlife – birds, deer, all kinds of cats, coyotes, beavers, groundhogs, mice and foxes by the million in order to protect their domestic animals and their feed.

Then they kill domestic animals by the billion and eat them. This in turn kills people by the million, because eating all those animals leads to degenerative – and fatal – - health conditions like heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, and cancer.

So then humans spend billions of dollars torturing and killing millions of more animals to look for cures for these diseases.

Elsewhere, millions of other human beings are being killed by hunger and malnutrition because food they could eat is being used to fatten domestic animals.

Meanwhile, few people recognize the absurdity of humans, who kill so easily and violently, and once a year send out cards praying for “Peace on Earth.”

Looked like chicken pot pie filling to me from the 1st photo and I love my friend from HS’s mom’s recipe for that. It’s a lot of work though since the crust is from scratch.

Dumplings are doughier and go on top of stews in my experience.

Biscuits- yum! We’re all about the Bisquick round these parts.
