Notes:

  • I should not be able to run in a tank top outdoors, in December, in the midwest. No. Me. Gusta.
  • Since I am off to a good start with running every day in December ( two days, lol) I think I will try for a December running streak of running at least one mile each day! Is anyone else in for a December running streak?
  • After taking it easy, running-wise, in November, I am looking forward to getting some more miles in this month!

  1. I’d love to join in on a little December running streak! I’m not sure how realistic a little run will be everyday for me, but I’m going to try my best!

I love that decorated house, wow!

    • kilax says:

      Yay! Excited you’re joining!

You cannot tell from the pic of that house, but they have a projector set up in the top left window that shows Santa moving around!

  2. bobbi says:

Streaking!!! Now I just have to remember to actually run every day 🙂

  3. Pete B says:

Darn, I took yesterday off from running. Maybe next December! 🙂

  4. Michele @ Running for Oreos says:

I took yesterday off! Maybe it can be an exercise streak? I got on the bike yesterday…But I didn’t run. Does that mean I’m out?

  5. A December running streak is just what I need! I had a very easy november too, and need to get back to putting in some miles (however few each day)! Let’s make this official!

  6. Amy says:

Yeah, there is something wrong about running in a tank in December in Chicagoland…

  7. Christina says:

I would like to participate in a December running streak but I dont know how to tailor half marathon training and increase miles? Maybe Ill participate next year. Looks like you had a great week of training 🙂

  8. The Linz says:

Good luck on your running streak! I’m rooting for ya! I will also be living vicariously through you and your running streak.

  9. abbi says:

Looks like you started out December with a lot of running fun! I’ve never done the whole streaking thing, I seem to always stop after a week! Have fun with it!

  10. Anne says:

I love the idea of a running streak, and even saw one that goes from Thanksgiving until New Year’s just to help ward off the holiday weight gain/exercise slow-down, but that’s a lot to fit into my schedule. Which is sad to think that I don’t have time to run even a mile everyday, but it stresses me out to even think of how I’d have enough gym clothes to accomplish that, much less the time (since I, unfortunately, can’t eat/drink for at least an hour before running without getting a massive stitch, it’s a bigger time commitment than just the 12 or so minutes it takes me to run a mile). But I’m making excuses. And I’ll support your streak! I assume I’m helping you get your second run in tonight 🙂

And I LOVE this weather for non-running activities, but I did think yesterday on my run that it’d be better if it were about 10 degrees colder. And it was a little sad to run by the melting ice rink at Wrigley Field.

    • kilax says:

LOL. You ARE making excuses. Would you still get that stitch even after a mile? And you could reuse clothes the next day because they wouldn’t get that sweaty 😉

Just teasing you. I already have one day next week where I know getting a mile in will be a struggle, schedule-wise. December is so hard.

  11. Xaarlin says:

    Amazing week!

So after 2 days, I’m done streaking. Couldn’t make myself run due to several issues including my ankle not feeling good yesterday. Bummer. 🙁

But… For the 15th (you’re going right!?) CB will join us for the run portion of the festivities!

And the whole wearing a tank top in December while not in Florida is crazy. What the heck is up with the weather here!?!

    • kilax says:

Hey! That is okay! It’s better to listen to your ankle! 🙂

I am totally going on the 15th! Ahh! Cannot wait to meet CB! Will he be dressing up for the holidays?!

      This weather is MADNESS!

  12. Erin says:

A streak, huh? Won’t be happening here but I look forward to your reports 🙂

    • kilax says:

Ha ha ha. Thanks. We’ll see how THAT goes. Tonight after class I was like “I would rather go home than run…” but I had fun 🙂
