Notes:

  • Another week of easy recovery from the marathon! I feel like I am 99% back to (my) normal! I am itching to get some more running in, especially now that it’s so nice and cold out!
  • Is anyone asking you for a holiday wishlist? What’s on yours? Running gear? I feel like I have all the things I “need,” but it’s fun to see all the new stuff out there.
  • Anyone else doing a “Turkey Trot” in the upcoming week? I think the one I did today will end up being the only one I do. I have three “holiday” themed races in mind for December though.

No turkey trots planned this week. Oh yeah, I did do one today! Nice seeing you, by the way. Loved your and Anne’s wacky hats. 🙂

  2. Heather says:

Glad you’re doing so much better, and I’m glad for the cold too. I run so much better now than when it’s so hot I want to melt!

I’m doing the Grant Park Turkey Trot next week, picked entirely because I wanted my first post partum race to have a medal, haha. I have not decided if I’m doing any Decemeber races yet though.

With just coming off my torn Achilles, I didn’t sign up for a TT this year. Instead, I’ll stuff my face at Bobbi’s house! <3 Happy Thanksgiving, Kim!

  4. Anne says:

I have running gear and a new pair of cross training shoes (which I do really, really need!) on my wish list this year 🙂

Wow, did you have ANY solo workouts last week? This week is going to be like that for me, which is fun 🙂 So glad we got to run together again today! I miss our regular run dates!

Cool! What do you use for cross training! I keep a pair of the shoes I use for running at the studio (but I’ve never run in them… okay, that’s a lie, just once). But I could probably use a different pair. Maybe those more flashy, fun Asics.

I didn’t! Isn’t that crazy? It was really nice. But then it’s hard to go back to solo weeks, even though I like that too.

I miss those run dates as well! Maybe we can work out some runs on Wednesdays when you are in the office 🙂

I wear the New Balance 797 for training. They’re super light, which is good for all of the plyo and burpees 🙂 Last year’s model is on sale for $40 on Amazon now.

        Wednesdays work for me!
