Let’s just pretend it hasn’t been over two months since the last Friday Question… sheesh!
Do you get a Christmas stocking or prepare one for anyone in your family?
“Santa” still gives me one (sometimes I get it early or late though) and when Steven’s family visits, I put together stockings for them.
I don’t know what it is about the dang stocking, but I just get such a kick out of putting them together for the boys. I think it’s because I have such great memories of going through my stocking when I was a kid. We got to look through them as soon as we woke up, and Santa always put the best things in there! I hope my stocking recepients feel the same way…

I don’t know what it is about stockings but they are the most ridiculously awesome idea ever! I love giving (and receiving!!) stockings, too! I think I would like to start getting stockings for my birthday, hahaha. Susanne is the grand champion winner of Stockings. She does the best ones!
Ooo, I can totally get you one for your bday. I am going to get some schweet compression socks and fill them up.
Will Susanne do one for me? What does she put in them?!

I do them for my family. As an adult, it’s really hard to find fun things to put in them because they ARE supposed to be somewhat special. I liked it so much better when Santa just did mine for me!
I want to hear what you put in yours – especially what defines “somewhat special”! 🙂 I put the boys’ favorite candies/food things in theirs, and little things that suit their interests. 🙂
Yes, I do stockings for the family. I love how festive they look hanging there and I’ve already been slipping in small treats nobody has even thought to look for yet.
How awesome! I want to start putting stuff in them too, but feel like I should wait in case someone peeks!
Yes, I do stockings for my husband, my mother, and one joint stocking for the three cats. I have very specific ideas about what should go in a stocking for adults. It must include a fun magazine, a chocolate bar, and some kind of toiletry like hand lotion. Then whatever odds and ends.
I still love stockings! I always take a video of my kids opening them. I make one for my husband and for myself, too. FUN!
I love stockings and I love stuffing them even more. Stockings are an excuse to buy all kinds of silly little things for people that I try to resist otherwise.

I love stockings! My husband and I don’t plan on buying much this year, but we’ll still fill each other’s stockings.
Yep, my family does stockings! My mom does “couples” stockings now, though, so Jason and I share one. Jason and I don’t do them for each other, though.
I always feel bad because my mom does all the stockings and my siblings never think to buy something to put in HER stocking! So I always try to find a little something to put in hers.
We get a couples one too. With mostly stuff in it for me. Sorry, Steven! lol
I keep reminding Steven to get some things for my stocking too. I put two things in there for me, but some surprises would be nice 🙂
I both get a stocking and prepare one (for my wife). As a kid, my mom used to put oranges and walnuts in my stocking. I always understood the tradition, but loved finding Hot Wheels and LEGOs in my stocking instead.
When my daughter was little, I used to prepare her stocking. I get a chance to do that again this year (she is 22 and living on her own, but will be spending Christmas Eve with me this year – first since she was 8)
My parents still do stockings! If I had a fireplace in the apartment, I might knit some for us, but it’s kind of goofy to tape them to the wall….
