Knitter’s rage

And rage, in general.

You know what makes me extremely irate when I am knitting? Finding knots like this throughout the skein.

GRRRRRRRRRRRR.

I understand it’s going to happen, but 3-4 knots per skein?! When I am already using 5 skeins and have to weave all those loose ends in?! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! This project will never be finished! Ha ha.

Deep breaths, Kim. You know things are pretty good in life when you’re frustrated by something as trivial as one of your hobbies, right?!

Unfortunately though, it’s not just my hobbies. I was so stressed out when I took my lunch break yesterday that I ended up doing speedwork during my run. It wasn’t planned – I was just that frustrated and needed to get it out. It helped. I was too physically exhausted to be mentally annoyed anymore! Yay, speedwork!

I don’t think that solution is going to help every day though. Hopefully knitting goes back to being my calming activity!

Knots irk the crap out of me, too.

You’re just knitting along and one shows up and it screws you all up! You should see the back of what I am knitting. It looks like spaghetti, with all these pieces to weave in!

That was me yesterday. Frustration is a great motivator to get out there and run it off.

Since, I don’t knit I’ve never thought about the skeins having knots. THAT would be incredibly frustrating.

Hmmm! I don’t usually find knots big enough to have to worry about weaving the ends in. Do the knots have really long tails or something? That’s surprising. Usually, I just kind of push them to the back/wrong side of whatever I’m knitting and don’t worry about.

Don’t let knitting make you stabby! I hate weaving ends in too, so I just leave it until the end and wait until I’m watching mindless TV or something to do it.

The knots were so bulky that when I tried to put them on the WS it messed up the rows on the front! So then I cut them out, hence all the extra ends. I guess I shouldn’t have worried about them?

Ha ha ha! That is my last task then I am done!!!!

this is making me wish i brought workout gear with me today because i am STRESSED AND IRRITATED AS CRAP and some speedwork sounds like a grand idea.

That would be really annoying! You should return it. Yarn isn’t cheap! (I know this from my brief look into knitting after one of your initial posts).

Every single skein in this brand has it. And I needed a ton of skeins for this project. So… I guess I should have bought higher quality yarn to start with. Even though, yeah, it was NOT cheap! 😉

Yeah I hate that too! Sometimes i get bad skeins, most of the time they are good and no knots. I have taken a break from crochet this summer, but I need to get back on it because a lot of my friends are going on round two of babies so I need to start making blankets again!!

Running is so beneficial! Its nice that it can help with the stress!
