The one that made the cut

Do you guys still have nightmares about school? Missing tests and forgetting to study and all that?

I still have them, but my school nightmares are a bit different – I’ve forgotten or simply put off doing an architecture project until right before it’s due, which is ridiculous, because they took me weeks of preparation.

It’s amazing the panic these dreams still make me feel. And I’m so grateful when I wake up and realize I’m not in school and don’t have to do all that anymore. Now I do a completely different set of things I don’t feel like doing, ha! (But have great work/life balance, the majority of the time, so it’s fine.)

Throughout the years, I’ve slowly gotten rid of my architecture models from school, until the move to the rental house, when I got rid of all but one.

Bye bye models!

The one I saved

I wonder if this one will make the final move?

The dream I have is that I missed some kind of class in High School and if I don’t complete it in a certain amount of time I will have to go thru college again from the start!

I am surprised you aren’t having nightmares about architecture studio! 😛

Going through college again from start sounds pretty damn horrible. Well, most of it 🙂

I like your models! I’d use them as decorations in my house.

I haven’t had dreams like that in awhile. It’s probably because my dogs are so old they go out several times overnight so I never get deep sleep anymore. It must be hard to pare down and part with those models. I may have some college stuff still left behind at my mom’s house.

I can’t remember a school-related dream I’ve had in awhile, and I don’t actually think I had that many during grad school, which surprised me. A few weeks ago, though, I had a dream that the CEO of my company rage-screamed (even rage-cried) at me for taking too much vacation, even though that’s totally not his personality. I felt really awkward when I saw him in the office the next day.

Ugh, having those models would cause me a lot of stress: they’re really amazing and took so much time, but I’m sure they take up a lot of space. Can you just take a ton of photos from different angles of this last one and say good-bye to it?

Oh gosh! I wonder why you dreamt (dreamed?) that! Are you feeling bad about leaving work for travel?! I hope not!

They do take up space and are fragile. I have lots of photos. Data knocked that one over yesterday so it’s going in the trash. They’re all gone now! 🙂
