Ideally, this is what our fridge and counter will look like in the upcoming weeks before the Wisconsin Half Marathon…

Okay, ideally, they look like this ALL the time.

And actually, ideally, they don’t look quite like this… they look picked over, because I am eating this stuff, instead of other carby snacks!

Ahh, if only I had the same discipline in eating, that I do with working out. Baby steps!

Impressive fridge set up! I’m pretty good about the fruit but have to get better about veggies. Of course, right now my counter is covered in dirty dishes which is never the right look ๐Ÿ™

I have tried to have my fridge that organized before. My kids ruin it…every single time! I don’t know why they think they can just eat all my food! haha!

Yummm! All those berries look so good. Kev and I went grocery shopping last night and meal planned for the week. We will see how that goes!

I know you can do awesome the next few weeks! We are almost there!

YUM. I was just thinking that I need to run out and replenish my fresh fruit stock…thanks for the push. ๐Ÿ™‚

I like how you prepare your healthy snacks then stick them in the fridge. A nice bowl of berries is one of my favorites. Good luck with the half training (and fueling)! ๐Ÿ™‚

Yeah, I try to get that all done on Sunday (and as needed throughout the week) to make it easier to stick to! Thank you!

I love berries too. ESPECIALLY raspberries!

That looks really really good ๐Ÿ™‚ but, where’s all the Gardein??? Hahah

  7. Awww….the Wisconsin Half…*sniffle* ๐Ÿ™

Now that I’m in taper I’m really trying to make sure my food game is on point. I’ve been doing good so far this week! I’ve been a little protein-a-holic, especially in the wake of my 20 miler. I tend to be pretty good about carbs and proteins but I really need to get better with veggies. I’m not much of a fruit eater. Good luck!!

  8. Look at all that beautiful fresh fruit! I have problems with buying fruits that require prep (e.g. canteloupe), then being too lazy to cut it up and eat it before it goes bad. When my office has fruit salad for meetings, I always eat the pineapple first – primarily because I like it, but also because I know how much prep work is involved. =)

    • kilax says:

Oh yeah! Whenever we get pineapple I try to cut it RIGHT away or it will go bad before I do! Some fruits are A LOT of work!

Looks like a great start to me ๐Ÿ™‚ You got this!

I love how much space you have in your fridge! Our fridge is crammed – but then it’s one of those small European fridges, and we are a family of five…

    • kilax says:

And ours is huge and new and it’s just the two of us. AND, we haven’t restocked a lot of the condiments we pitched when we moved!

I always feel good when I get back from the grocery store and put all the stuff away. It looks so full of possibility. By the end of the week though (and this is a good thing), I call it the “bachelor fridge” because there’s nothing in it except, like, mustard and a half-drunk carton of milk.

How often do you two grocery shop? You have a TON of fruit!! (And now I want to eat some!)

    • kilax says:

Yes! It’s good when it’s like that at the end of the week!

We shop once a week. Or go out if we need something specific that we forgot, or ran out of something!
