Notes:

  • These bullets are usually in chronological order but I am moving this one to the top – my training partner, Kelly, who I haven’t seen in just over a year was here on Sunday!!!! And she’s here through Tuesday. And we got to run together! And it was amazing!!!! MUCH HAPPINESS!!!!
  • My legs feel so swollen and odd during my runs lately. I can’t tell if it’s from the heat, if I am retaining water, or from them being covered in poison whatever. Whatever it is, I hope it goes away soon (<—I wrote this at the beginning of the week and it seemed better by Sunday, yay!).
  • Gosh, my Friday swim took it out of me! I swam slower than I normally do, but took less breaks and I felt like I was going to sink toward the end, then was all shaky when I got out. Odd!
  • The two days of cool weather we had on Friday and Saturday were such a wonderful reprieve from the hot summer weather. And a good reminder that running is so much easier when it’s cooler. Ha. Although, the sun still got to me on Saturday!
  • I still can’t believe how well that corn remover bandage worked! I haven’t had any issues with it since I used it! Yay!

That’s awesome that your training partner is back for a bit, and that your legs felt better by Sunday 🙂

Yes! It is SUCH a treat to run with her. She was the main person I was social with before she moved… so I’ve been a bit reclusive for a year!

I hear you about running being easier when it’s cool out. I was mulling taking this week off of running once I saw the forecast called for near-record highs. Then I realized that my gym has these things called “treadmills” and thought I may give them a try it the conditions outside are unbearable!

    • kilax says:

No! You are not going to try one of those things, are you?! LOL. I may have to run to Bobbi’s and jump in her pool when it’s so hot. But gah, the route there has NO shade.
