Give it a rest

By , November 8, 2017 6:24 am

Gah, I am so sick of dreaming about work each night. It ranges from me doing my job, to someone showing up in the office who hasn’t in years, to messing up at a meeting in front of “important” people, to not even coming in because I missed my train. Stupid brain.

How about a break from the work dreams? We saw the new Thor movie this weekend – maybe a dream about Chris Hemsworth instead? Ha ha.

I understand I’m dreaming about work because I’m thinking about it more, but I just want a night of restful sleep! And that’s already a challenge with this guy and his sister sleeping on me…

Ugh, I hate it when work dreams disrupt my sleep 🙁 Cute kitties are a little happier to deal with 🙂 Though we have to keep the cats out of the bedroom but they still manage to make their presence known by flinging themselves against the door if they don’t think we’re waking up early enough.

It’s one of the worst things to dream about!

They are. I am such a hypocrite – they keep me up but I am sad when they aren’t there! Oh gosh, whenever we kick them out they just bat at the door. Ugh, ear plugs only do so much!!!

Where did you get that plush Thor, haha? Did you take it with you to the screening?

Have you always had day-related dreams? Like, in college, did you dream about school and projects and now it’s just work instead?

My friend Jen gave it to me – it was a favor from her son’s bday party two years back. I think she got them on Amazon. I didn’t, but should have!

Yes. Sigh. And I still dream about school, too. Like that I have forgotten to do an entire project. WTF. Do you dream about that?

What a look on that cat’s face. If it were me, I would stay awake all night worrying about whether he will kill me if I fall asleep! Lord of the evil cat clan!

I have only been a cat owner for a year now, he doesn’t sleep on me but he just started understanding what my alarm is a couple months ago. He now runs to my room and yells at me when it goes off. Then on the weekends he has the same routine…sans alarm! ha!

Isn’t it so interesting how they latch on to that alarm noise? If I take a nap during the day and use an alarm, the cats get SO excited when they hear it! (cause in the morning it means I am getting up and they will be fed, ha)

dang, I can’t remember the last time I dreamed about work…I do have bad dreams sometimes but luckily I usually dream about amazing places like being back in Montana- it is only sad when I wake up lol
Undisturbed sleep is truest form of adulting ever lol I never wished for this as a kid.

    • kilax says:

That is awesome you have good dreams!!! Don’t you wish you could go back in time and take all those naps you refused as a kid? Ha

I can nap with my cats (and dog, although there’s growling if both are there at the same time), but I can’t sleep with them anymore. Sad times, but they just get in my way! I hope you stop with the work dreams soon.

  7. How great was Thor?! Oh man. I saw it on Sunday and LOVED IT. I was very pleasantly surprised – the other two Thor movies were probably my least favorite Marvel movies, but Ragnarok was easily one of my favorite Marvel movies.

It was so fun! I really enjoyed it too – laughed a lot! They definitely changed the style. I liked the last two though – I didn’t realize so many people didn’t until this one came out!
