More than I’m used to

By , June 11, 2012 1:43 pm

During lunch I went to Ulta to look for new eye shadow. Okay. Eye shadow, period. I usually don’t wear makeup.

Geesh. I had forgotten I even went there, until I went to the bathroom… and did not recognize myself.

Wearing more eye shadow could take some getting used to. I don’t look like me. Maybe that is a good thing? Muah ha ha.

How much effort do you put in to your facial appearance?

For me, it’s usually clear brow gel and mascara (when I go in to the office, if I am not, it’s no makeup).

I think it looks really pretty!!

I only wear makeup once a week if that. I just really didn’t see the point of doing it if I was just home with the girls. I wear it to my WW meeting though. lol.

    Looks great! 🙂

I don’t get along with eye shadow. I rub my eyes to much. Sigh. Maybe someday I will grow up and be a big girl, but not likely.

    looks pretty!

as far as im concerned my makeup is my face. never leave the house without it… I also worked at ULTA for 2 years so that probably is what made me this way.

  5. I think it looks really pretty on you! And not over-the-top.

  6. I like it! 🙂

I don’t wear a lot of makeup really. Just the basics, and I’m very specific with what I like and pretty much never change it. That said, I have no issues with leaving the house with no makeup on. I have no one I’m trying to impress, so why waste expensive products? 🙂

    Looks cute!

I’m not a big makeup person, but I do have to wear foundation and eyeliner every day. If I don’t, the bags under my eyes are so bad, people think I’m either sick or got punched in the face. 🙁

But, any other makeup I put on seems to wear off in half an hour, so I don’t really bother with much more than that.

I felt the same way when I first started wearing make-up. I still trend toward neutral shades instead of colors. I wish I knew how to apply it so that it hid the circles under my eyes!

I think you look great! I normally wear eyeshadow or liner and mascara, except if I’m staying home. I have found that putting a little water in my eyeshadows(if they’re powdered) and then applying it helps to keep it on longer. And it will sometimes make the color a tiny bit more vibrant. I don’t wear any foundation unless I’m REALLY dressed up. I don’t like the way it feels on my face, even the mineral powder kind which is what I use. BTW….I think you’d look great even without makeup! <3

      Thanks Denise 🙂

The lady who did my makeup was showing me the water trick so I did that this morning. I just put on the sheer and glittery colors though. Ha ha ha. GLITTER!!! I am like a child 🙂

I never wear foundation! Oops! I am kind of SOL when I have a zit I want to cover up.

I only wear mascara when I remember. I cannot do my own eye shadow makeup. I stink at it!

  11. Ha!!! You crack me up!!! But the eyeshadow looks really good! 🙂

I thought your hand was bruised. Lol. I just bought fancy mascara and foundation for my wedding but don’t usually wear much makeup. Sometimes I’ll do just mascara but usually I’m lazy and go bare, even to work.

I used to wear makeup all the time. Not so much any more. I think it looks pretty on you! But for me, it’s more a matter of I am lazy. Or I plan on sweating it off soon. And my skin is crazy pissed off all the time lately, so I hate to make it worse…

The eye shadow looks gorgeous, very stylish! I wish I knew how to do a smoky eye with eye shadow, but I’ve never been able to master the art.

I rarely wear makeup any more since I hardly see anyone in the office. But when I do wear makeup, it’s usually just mascara, blush, and lip gloss. LOW MAINTENANCE IS THE KEY FOR ME. =D

I wear mascara everyday (I have very long lashes, but they are blond). I’ll wear a full face of make-up for special occasions, like weddings. I used to wear make-up everyday but it just takes so much time to do.

  16. Mica says:

I *always* feel that way about make-up. Like “Ohmygod! Everyone can SEE that I’m wearing make-up!” but that’s the whole point. And usually, I’m being over-sensitive anyway and actually, people can’t tell….

I’ve been trying to wear mascara here and BB cream, which is pretty awesome tinted moisturizer with other stuff. (Thanks, Korea, for making good beauty products.) It’s getting warm though, so I’m not enthusiastic about make-up running down my face and want to keep it to a minimum.
