What is your astrological zodiac sign? Do you think your personal characteristics match that of your astrological zodiac sign?

Do those questions even make sense? I hope so.
I have met a lot of people who are in to astrological signs, but have never known much about it myself. All I know is that I am a Leo. Which, according to the chart below (from here), means I am:
- Generous and warmhearted
- Creative and enthusiastic
- Broad-minded and expansive
- Faithful and loving
- Pompous and patronizing
- Bossy and interfering
- Dogmatic and intolerant
I bolded the ones I agree with! For fun, you should too! Go this site and copy the text version of the chart (scroll down) and paste it in the comments below me and tell me which characteristics are totally you… and which aren’t!*
Update – Steven pointed out that he is usually a Capricorn but this chart says he is a Sagittarius (his birthday is Dec 22). I do think he seems more like a Capricorn… anyway, I am not sure of the validity of this chart! Just posting for fun!

Themocracy
My logic tells me that astrology is silly, BUT I think there is something to it. I am a Scorpio through and through. All of the Scorpio characteristics describe me pretty well. I’ve also noticed that I tend to gravitate toward certain signs in relationships. I’m friends with many Cancers and Pisces (and Leos, incidentally). I’m told this makes sense in some kind of mysterious, astrological way. Ha. But, I know I’m not supposed to be compatible with Sagittarius and I’m married to one, so…

I am a Leo (yea that you are, too!) but am on the cusp of Cancer. So I carry a few Cancer traits, too. I’m very much the leo (almost to the book), but I believe I also bring to the table a bit of a protective nature and (as much as I hate to admit), it is hard for me to let go of things (such as grudges).
Not so much…sure some things I can relate to, but others are totally not me. Pisces and no I am absolutely not easily led 🙂

I’m not selfless (maybe someday), secretive, weak-willed, easily led, or vague. Kind: I’m as kind as the average person which to me means that sometimes I am very much so, but other times I’m not kind enough. I do tend to think I am unworldly at times.

I capitalized all the ones I am.. or at least the ones I think I am. Hehe..
I usually think that I share a lot of the Gemini traits but these ones seemed a bit different than usual.
I’m on the Leo-Virgo cusp: however, I’ve always identified with Leo characteristics.

Funnily enough, the rest of my family members are all Virgos. Go figure.
I’ve never been a big astrology fan. But I am a virgo and that description fits me to a T. Definitely a worrier and perfectionistic, shy meticulous, reliable…all accurate for me.
My mother in law (fucked up mess that she is) was an astrologer, she did my chart and told me my birth time was wrong. Then she said that I had a lot of stuff to work out but wanted $75 to tell me what it was. And that my sign didn’t really fit. See below. (I passed. I reckoned if it’s not going to change anything why do it.)
I’m a virgo, born on the 20th.
Modest (sort of) and Shy (not so much, but I find meeting new people challenging definitely as a child.)
Meticulous (depends, sometimes yes, sometimes no) and reliable (I suppose but it’s not a major characteristic.)
Practical and diligent. hahahahah… that is so funny. Practical is ‘fuck no’ — diligent, I’m not sure what that means. I do fake diligence that supports what I need. Not so much.
Intelligent and analytical — this one I’ll take. Yes. But not in a cold calculated kind of way.
Fussier and worrier. Definitely
Overcritical and harsh. Yes, I can be — gets me into all sorts of trouble.
Perfectionist. Oh yes… harsher and overcritical of myself more than others. But I’m working on it.
Conservative… this is the funniest thing I’ve ever read. No. Hell no. I’m a free thinking liberal all the way.
Oddly, my good friend Jewels is born on the same day and she is very similar to me in many regards.

My mom and are I both Capricorns and I’ve always though the characteristics ascribed to Capricorns were fairly dead-on for both of us. For myself I think the only ones that I don’t fully agree with are humorous and patient.
I am an aquarius and I do believe this description fits me to a “t.” I don’t usually place any faith in this kind of stuff so I am really amazed to read this description!
I think I was meant to be a Pisces because I think that is the most descriptive of me. I’m really an aries. I guess most of those words describe me too though. I was born early and was supposed to be a taurus and I think those are better for me than aries too.
My oldest is a capricorn and the pessimistic and fatalistic thing is TOTALLY her.
If you look up Aries, my picture is next to it. TRUTH! 😉

Not true: irresponsible, tactless
Most of them though! I think it’s actually the best fit for me. I also think Libra matches me a lot.
I’m a Cancer. I didn’t used to pay much attention to it and I don’t know how I compare to the chart you linked to. That being said, I once found a book about love and astrological signs and I read some of the stuff from it for myself and some friends and I was surprised at how accurate the book was for each of us. If you’re interested in the book title, email me and I can search for it online. I can never remember off the top of my head but I can usually find it on Amazon pretty easily.

I’m an Aquarian. Astrology has always fascinated me.
Friendly and humanitarian= I think I’m friendly, some people do not. I’m a 100% humanitarian.
Honest and loyal = 100% on both accounts.
Original and inventive = 100% on both.
Independent and intellectual = I am independent and would like to think I’m intellectual but, maybe not.
Intractable and contrary = Oh nuts! I have to admit this?!!!
Perverse and unpredictable = Yes, yes, ok…that’s me.
Unemotional and detached = No to both. I’m very emotional and I can’t think of my self as being detached.
I cannot imagine someone thinking you are NOT friendly!
Haha, I like this week’s question a lot. Though I am dismayed that all of the negative characteristics for Leos actually describe me (pompous, dogmatic, patronizing, wheee!). I think that you really hit the nail on the head with some of the positives that you bolded for yourself.

The only “not” is that I’m not Foolhardy at all. Everything else though? For sure. I would argue the selfish trait though because I think everyone is selfish in some way.
I’m cancer, which always makes me feel a little bummed because I don’t like cancer…but then I realize that it looks like 69 which makes me giggle. 🙂
