ViewSPORT Shirt and Watch Giveaway

By , August 26, 2010 7:00 pm

Remember my post about ViewSPORT workout tops – the ones that have an image show up when you get sweaty (before and after pic below)?

Well, the ViewSPORT Media Management team saw my post and sent me an email to thank me for spreading the word about ViewSPORT. And as a thank you, they sent me and a reader a ViewSPORT shirt AND a watch to try out (like the watch the model has on in the picture on the right)! How awesome is that?! If you wanted to try one, now is your chance!

A bit about ViewSPORT:

ViewSPORT™ began as an idea during long workouts. Having no real measure of the work done during each workout, the idea of a shirt that shows a design when you sweat was born. But how was Sweat Activated Technology created? The technology was developed at a workbench in 2009 by Ben Wood, chemist and Head Coach. In early 2010, Ben partnered with Joe Yacano, incorporated and began the patent process for the Sweat Activated Technology.

Like minds and ideas have fostered an environment which seeks to promote creative freedom. ViewSPORT™ is a US company that doesn’t operate like conventional corporate America. We use US goods and services. We welcome all people who seek meaning in their work.

Furthermore, part of our mission is to provide the motivated athlete with a new tool which can be used as a visible measure of their sweat equity.

We want people to be healthy. Part being healthy is having clean, drinkable water. We believe that everyone should have access to clean drinking water. That is why a portion of every sale will be donated to a world water foundation for global Clean Water Research.

It’s neat that ViewSPORT is on the cutting edge of technology with their products. And not to mention, they are a US company that supports global Clean Water Research!

Thank you so much for this opportunity, ViewSPORT!

Neat! I love hiking, especially now that it’s cooler, so it would take a nice long hike along the Potomac River to work up a good sweat. 🙂

  2. Melissa says:

So cool! It pretty much goes without saying that I would wear this to go running 🙂 And given that I sweat like it’s going out of style, it wouldn’t take long to see the image!

  3. This is so awesome! I’d totally wear it while running- it would take about 10 minutes for the shirt to do that… tops! :p

  4. I would love to do a spinning class in one of those shirts. A few minutes in, and the image would definitely appear!

  5. Jamie says:

very cool! I would most likely wear it on a run because it would get sweatilicious in about 2 – 5 minutes.

  6. Carol says:

I’d wear it running of course! With as warm as it has been I would expect to see the image within 10 minutes for sure.

  7. Courtney Ilax says:

I’d wear it dancing with my two little boys in the living room while nicky is singing ” I kissed a girl and I liked it ” lol. It would take ahh, 3 min for the image to appear.

  8. Courtney Ilax says:

Courtney likes ViewSPORT™ (Sports / Athletics).

  9. Kim says:

I would wear the tank running… and depending on the heat/humidity, it would take about 10 minutes. Tops. 🙂

  10. Kandi says:

I now “like” ViewSPORTS on facebook.

  11. Kandi says:

I’d wear the shirt running and it would take, oh, about a minute to change! haha.. Such a HOT summer so far.

  12. cher says:

i would run, however, it would take FOREVER for this to appear. i’m hoping this would inspire longer workouts! 😉

  13. cher says:

i “liked” this page on FB

  14. I will wear this for marathon training…I think it will take about 3-5 miles to get the message up! Such a cool idea!!

  15. I linked this giveaway on my Giveways tab on my blog

  16. Lori says:

I would wear it biking, and w/ the dirt roads I take out across I think it would appear in 15 minutes 🙂

  17. Lori says:

i ‘liked’ the page on facebook

  18. YaY YaY YaY!!! I would wear it on my runs or I would wear it to my Muay Thai conditioning class (I sweat the most in that class).

The large might be too big for me though. :/

  19. I also liked them on Facebook!

  20. k8 says:

I want, I want, I want for running club! And the way I sweat? 5 minutes, tops.

  21. Erin says:

Bummer that they only gave you a size large. Pretty sure that would be too big for me. Regardless, I sweat the most at track when it’s hot outside. Now that it’s cooling off I don’t get quite as sweaty.

  22. Great giveaway. I’d surely use the t-shirt for my first post-pregnancy, rigorous workout … and wouldn’t stop until I could decipher the words that come out with sweat! =)

  23. Robin says:

I am training for the Chicago Marathon and also live in Florida. I run at 11am every day so it would probably only take two miles for me to break a good sweat.

  24. DeAnne says:

I think these are great and while normally sweating is gross, I feel empowered and sexy when it’s during a workout. KickFit (non-contact kick boxing style aerobics) would be my workout of choice to wear this to and I’d say that by 15 minutes in you could see the design, by the time the class is over it may be permanently there!

  25. I sweat like a pig so I am sure it wouldn’t take long! Truth is, a large would not fit me…but the watch…oh, I want the watch 🙂

  26. I would wear the shirt to a Zumba class at the RAC. Perfect use for this! I already “like” the ViewSPORT Facebook page! Thanks.

  27. Etta says:

I love power walking with the dogs in the evenings. With the humidity, it doesn’t take me long to work up a sweat. The other night, the hubs even asked if I’d been running.

  28. Adam says:

Awwwwww, no mens shirt!? I sweat so much I would light that thing up like a candle!!!! It would show words that weren’t even part of the manufacturing plan.

It is with a heavy heart that I enter the watch portion of the contest.

  29. bobbi says:

    I liked viewsports on fb….

  30. bobbi says:

I’d wear it RUNNING! I’m usually wiping my face off by about a mile in, so I’d give it 5 minutes to show up 🙂

  31. Jen says:

I would love to wear the tank for a long run. Now that the weather is cooling off, it might take 10 minutes for the design to appear.

  32. I’d be running or power walking in this for sure! In the Iowa humidity, it would take .02 seconds for the design to appear. 😉

  33. P.S. I liked the facebook page.

  34. Amy says:

I would wear it while running and i think it would take 15 minutes for the message to appear – I sweat hard and fast!
Kim, I hope your family member is okay and am keeping you in my thoughts.

  35. Kapgar says:

When you say “try,” does that mean the watch gets sent back after a certain amount of time? Meg whatever. I’ll try for the watch and clearly we’d be using it for running. I hate that I sweat and have been using moisture wicking shirts to counter having it show. So why would I want a shirt (well for Katie anyway) that shows it intentionally?

  36. Kayla says:

I would use this for a run. In the weather we’ve been having lately it would probably take 5 minutes (if that)

  37. Kayla says:

Also I am linking this on my blog’s sidebar

  38. I would wear it to run and ha based on the weather in FL it would probably show up as soon as I walk outside

  39. Mica says:

I would wear this to a cycling. Parts of the image would probably show up right away because I sweat profusely…in awkward patches while I’m cycling.
