Angry

Running in the wind makes me angry.*

And doubt myself as a runner.

Work’s had me second guessing my purpose lately, so I really don’t need anymore doubt in my life.

That is all.

*At least taking crazy hair pictures in the wind is fun. (I usually wear my hair up but put it down to show you the crazy wind. My visor almost blew off a few times.)

Haha…love the picture. I agree, wind is evil. It’s not so bad when you are running away from it but into it? Terrible, nothing like feeling like you are standing still while working super hard!

You are an amazing runner. And an amazing person. Don’t let anything tell you different.

That said? I hate wind more than anything. Horrible.

Ha ha. Thanks. And thanks for humoring my whiny post. I was hoping to get more bitching about the wind than affirmation. I didn’t mean to be that kind of blogger 😉

  3. This picture is worth a thousand words!!! Keep your head up, it seems like you need a little relaxation in your life!

  4. Kandi says:

What an awesome photo! And you are an awesome runner… no doubt!

I love the picture! I got a package today from you! Thanks so much. BTW..what is the brand of the spatula your Grandma got you? What do you put the chocolate one on?

    • kilax says:

Wow! That got there fast! I am not sure what the spatula brand is – it doesn’t have any markings on it. You can probably get something similar at one of those big box grocery stores though. I use the chocolate PB2 on everything that I would put regular peanut butter on – bread, crackers, apples, a spoon…

  6. I also hate the wind. I don’t need any other forces working against me when I’m running!!!

    But I have to agree – that’s a truly awesome pic! 🙂

I admire anyone who runs outside, since I usually stick to the treadmill.

    • kilax says:

The treadmill hates me, but I even considered it for this run! I could hear the wind outside all day!

  8. It’s been super windy here too. I love the picture! 🙂

  9. Etta says:

It has been quite windy lately. I’ve been attacked by my car door more than once this month.

  10. Kristina says:

Yeah, it kind of sucks (okay, totally sucks) when what we are doing for fun or for our self-esteem, self-worth, and/or mental health makes us doubt ourselves.
Hopefully you’ll get some good weather soon!

  11. Amy says:

I hate wind too – it sucks!
Don’t doubt yourself – you rock!

  12. Courtney says:

Kim- you of all people have NO reason to doubt yourself as a runner- or as a person- cause you rock!! Shin kicks to work!!! Your picture of your crazy hair did make me laugh though!
    =^..^=

    • kilax says:

Ha ha. Thanks Courtney 🙂 I will relay your shin kicks 🙂

Seriously though, just going in to the office lately makes my stomach turn! I am not sure what my problemo is!

  13. HA! This picture perfectly captures how I always feel about wind!

  14. Erin says:

Just think of the wind as a different kind of hill or resistance training. At least, that’s what I keep telling myself. But, yeah, it sucks when all you want to do is run easy or hit certain paces and the wind is pushing you down.

  15. J says:

I hate the wind too! I was so angry this morning even with the apparently 7mph winds! I just cant wait for the humidity of summer! lol remind me of that when I complain!

  16. martymankins says:

Wind is my least favorite weather condition. I’ll take snow and ice over wind any day.
