Thoughts:

  • I felt very frustrated when I went on my Monday night run, and the run did not fix it. Disappointing.
  • I got a free massage after my 5K on Saturday. My “hips need some work.” And I need to stretch more… guess foam rolling is not cutting it!
  • I am thinking about taking a week off from running this December. But I love running in the cold so that may be hard.
  • Quite a few of my workouts this week (but not all!) made me feel defeated (hence the “highlight of the week”). I hope next week is better!

  1. 20 miles? “fun run”? you are amazing…and you inspire me. Don’t feel old, feel fabulous!

I want to feel fab like you!

I showed my family how to do the Gangnam style dance this weekend. We watched the video before bar hopping then I did it banana style. And I showed them your wedding vid and told them how fab you are.

And I am counting that dancing as exercise!

  2. I’m with the above. my eyes kinda went “whaaat” with the word *fun* next to *20miles*!! That’s just amazing!

Last year, I didn’t run much outside in the cold, so I’m looking forward to it this year!

    20 miles of FUN!!

You need to stop saying “creaky and old” – I have many many years on you my friend 🙂 Although “creaky and old” has to be better than “poo poo” I guess…

    • kilax says:

Can I say creaky? 🙂 Because I truly felt creaky… like I was falling apart. LOL. Don’t act like Wednesday didn’t give me a right to say I felt like a normal human being!!!!!! You were there too!!!!!!!! 😛

  4. Emily says:

Despite the frustrations, you still had an amazing training week!!! And next week is going to be all the better to make up for this week’s frustrations!!!

  5. Amy says:

Sorry you’ve been struggling a bit – maybe a week off would do you good?

  6. Kim says:

I was thinking, too, that a bit of time off from running could be good for you. It tends to help me clear my head and fall back in love with running. And my body generally likes focusing on some other exercises during that time.

  7. Erin says:

Bummer that a run didn’t help with your frustration! Maybe it just needed to be longer 😉
