Notes:

  • We’ve hit that time of year with my favorite running temperatures – the 30s! These temps make me feel like I can fly… well, as long as I am not dodging ice on the ground or bundled up in layers because of the wind. Ha. I cherish this small season of my ideal temps – it makes me feel like a strong runner!
  • I’m happy I was able to race a 10K while I was in 10K shape! Now, to find a half marathon. Ha ha, just kidding, that will wait for next year.
  • My Sunday long run proved to me that I am ready to race a marathon in two weeks if I decide to. Now… I just have to decide. We had the trip booked to Dallas many months ago, and weren’t expecting to sell our town home and needing to move out the same weekend as the trip. Fudge! I’m really grateful our home is selling, but damn, the timing sure sucks for many reasons.
  • We’ve added a few end of the year indoor cycling classes at Essential Fitness (the studio where I teach), and I get to teach one next Saturday. I’m pumped! I’ve been working on my playlist for it for a few months now. Ha, that sounds silly, but what you do in the class is very connected to the music, so it matters!

Yay for the 30 degree temps! I ran a half marathon yesterday and it was wonderful. Felt like I could run forever (and I wore shorts)!

  2. Kiersten says:

Moving is the worst! It makes your whole life feel unsettled, but I still say go for the race!

      It sure does!

I really want to. I feel like running is helping me hold on to that part of my identity, since most of what we talk about now is house stuff (understandably). I haven’t even been knitting. 😮

  3. Yay for cooler temps. Its still up and down here but the days were it gets below the 60s I’m a happy bunny. You should still race. Let Data do the move, ha ha! Seriously I’m sure you could work around it but that is sucky timing.

  4. Karen says:

I have enjoyed the cooler temps too 🙂
    Awesome 10k time!
Music does make a huge difference in a group class 🙂 I had fav aerobic tracks in classes for years. We used to request them lol

  5. You have been running so much faster lately! Nice job! And congrats on shaving an entire minute per mile off your 10K PR, holy freaking cow!

Are you training for anything right now? If not, I’m really impressed that you do 21 mile runs just for the heck of it. You couldn’t pay me to do that, lol
