My sister was on the Today Show!*

Is it totally dorky that I am super excited my sister, Christina, is in NYC and was on the Today Show this morning?

That’s her, holding the “Wake up in the morning feeling like Al Roker” sign – Ke$ha was there, so it’s a spin on her Tik Tok song. You can see her at the 2:30 point in the video below (if you are in reader, you may have to click through to see it):

I have been excited ALL week to watch the Today Show today! I even woke up earlier than my alarm this morning, I was so excited.

Unfortunately, I had to sit through an AWFUL interview with Linday Lohan’s mother (wow – she is f*cked up) to watch for Christina. But it was worth it! I had tears in my eyes when I saw her on screen! Ha. I’m so lame.

Have you ever been to NYC?

I went there in February of 2005 for an architecture trip (pictures here). Christina is there now for an interior design trip! I loved it NYC, and knew she would too! She is having such a great time, I am so excited for her.

I really want to go back to NYC. Especially to visit Gina!

Side note: that vid was available on the Today Show website a few minutes after the performance aired – how cool is that?!

  1. Too funny! My parents always enjoyed it when they were in the background behind homeplate for a televised baseball game. They’d be that couple waving like a bunch of fanatics while on their cell phone… ha

And yes, Dina is a mess. She’s not even a hot mess. She’s beyond it.

Awhhhh thank you sister for posting about me! 🙂 I feel so special!!

If anyone wants an autograph just give me a call.. 😉

I grew up just a few minutes north of NYC and I uswed tow ork there, I guess I always took advantage of the fact that it was so close that I haven’t done some of the famous tourist events like times square or getting up early to go the Rock. I used to work a block north of the Today show too!

I have been missing home thought!

That’s so awesome! Her sign and the sign about Matt Lauer are so creative.

  5. Aww, so sweet.

Have I ever been to NYC? Let me think about that one. 😉

I have never been but hope to go around Thanksgiving when Mr. D and I head back to Jersey.

  7. Seriously?? I watch The Today Show every morning, but NOT today?? WTH? Glad she was there, though. Yes, totally dorky BUT sooo exciting! I would’ve been the same way! 🙂

The entire Lohan family needs help.

Yay for your sis being in the City and having a great time. Ted and I have been quite a few times, it never gets old. Oddly enough, espec. since we live in NY State, I’ve never
been to the Statue of Liberty.

that is SO not dorky! how exciting! i have been to NYC again and again and each time, unfortunately, have become less and less touristy. I think the last time i went, i saw nothing that would be even remotely sightseeing-ish. i think it’s those things that make it SO fun to go!

  16. I’ve only ever been to NYC once. Was there for a week on a training course in Manhattan in 2008. Absolutely fell in love with the city and would go back in a heartbeat.

That’s not lame at all. I love it! That’s a proud sister, I would be to! I cry when I overjoyed and happy. 🙂

FUN! My sister was in the Jay Leno audience and wanted to be on the phone with me while it was on so she could tell me which of the screams were hers. And at one time her husband hooted or something and she made me remind it until I acknowledged that I could hear it…
But your sister is WAY cooler! She’s in a music video. She’s nearly famous!

That’s awesome to see you sister on TV. Love the fun sign.

I’ve been to NYC twice now – August 2000 and November 2006. The first time, I was single and going through a divorce and had a great time scouring the city, learning the subway system and seeing all of the sites, including the observation deck at the World Trade Center.
