Chirp chirp

It’s quiet in the blogosphere. And in real life. And me likey! I am all caught up on reading blogs… I should be all caught up on other things… but let me procrastinate a bit more. I am looking for some new blogs to read! Please leave a comment telling me who your favorite bloggers are!

All my fave blogs are over to the right on my blogroll. Check them out! And let me call special attention to Gina’s blog – MileWON. Gina is one of my best friends, and lives in New York City (which you probably know if you’ve ever read my blog before). We actually met through our blogs way back in winter of 2006. Gina recently started blogging again, to share her adventures in running (she is doing the Couch to 5K (C25K) program), her new son (8 months old two days ago!) and her crazy adventures in NYC. Help cheer her on as she gets in to running!

Jeez, this sounds like a frickin’ infomercial or something and that was not my intent! I am just being selfish and asking for some blog recommendations. But let’s talk about something else. What are you all doing for New Year’s Eve? Is New Year’s Eve a big deal to you?

New Year’s Eve is not a big deal for us at all. The challenge is staying entertained enough to stay up until midnight. It shouldn’t be too hard this year! Our friends Jen and Kent are coming over with their newborn, Ayla! I know we could probably just talk to them all night, and possibly longer… so we should have a fun, low key evening!

We are going to Missouri to visit our friends who had a baby four months before we did. It’s my husband’s bff so we have to introduce our babies so they can be bffs! 🙂

  2. New Years is just another day to unnecessarily spend a ridiculous amount of money if you ask me. Of course, I’m broke and bitter this year, so that could have something to do with my outlook. 🙂

  3. Jen says:

We feel so cool that we’re mentioned in your blog! Ayla just pooped and it’s bathtime so I gotta go!

I read a ton of blogs – but I never update my blog roll on my blog…guess I should try to do that in all my spare time over here since I am super lazy!

I have been reading Marlene’s blog since I basically started blogging…http://marleneontherun.com/ I love all her adventures in running.

And for new years…I usually am in bed by 10pm like usual BUT this year we have dinner reservations with friends at 8pm and a party to go to! Should be fun…hope I can stay awake!

Thanks for the new link! I am adding Marlene to my reader. It sounds like you have a fun NYE planned 🙂

I’m usually low key on NYE but some friends are going to a burlesque show and we decided last minute to join them. So many of our couple friends are parents so we were feeling a bit lonely. I hope it’s a good time!

  6. Paige says:

We have the same friends over every year for New Year’s. This year we’re going to one of our favorite bars!

  7. Laura says:

Let’s see…my favorites are: Adventures of an Average Athlete, G(r)eek Melie, The Running Peanut and The Brick Wall.

(I’m totally doing nothing for New Years Eve. It should be a blast!)

  8. Kayla says:

My New Year’s celebrations are always low key, but this year I am getting together with some high school friends. Should be fun

  9. Marcia says:

Totally staying home on NYE but roasting marshmallows, playing games and some of us will stay up to watch the ball drop.
    Happy New Year!

  10. cindy says:

It will be my 46th anniversary and we will have dinner out and then ring in the new year at home.

  11. Amy says:

We are making a Mexican feast with our boys and we will try to get my husband to stay up til midnight when the fireworks go off all over the neighborhood!

  12. gina says:

I live for a low-key New Year’s Eve where I can wear pajamas, be all snacky and try to make it to Midnight!

  13. gina says:

I forgot to add – Thank you for the blog love! I love you! Chirp, chirp!

  14. Erin says:

You read way more blogs than me so I won’t even try to give you a recommendation 🙂

Looks like for NYE we’re going to a Brazilian steakhouse with my parents and my brother and his girlfriend and then going back to my parents’ condo. I’ve never met my brother’s girlfriend so it should be interesting.
