PB2 Giveaway

By , March 12, 2012 5:16 am

I had heard of PB2 a long time ago, but it was not until I was in Kansas City at the end of January that I actually saw it in a store and bought some for myself to try. Now, I am hooked! But first, let me explain to you what PB2 is…

PB2 is powdered peanut butter! The peanuts go through a natural process to remove 85% of the oil, and you are left with the powder (which is all natural with no added sweeteners or preservatives). When you mix the powder with water, you get the same consistency and taste as full fat peanut butter, with 85% less calories (nutrition info here).

I made a little video to show you how it works:

You can also add it to shakes, dip fruit in it, and do many other things (their website has a recipe section). So far, I have just been using it as a spread!

I still eat regular peanut butter too, but I like using this for a snack with crackers/fruit, whatever. And did I mention they have a chocolate flavor?!

I’ve been so in to PB2 that when Erin sent me a code to buy it cheap online, I bought some for myself and two jars to give away – the regular and chocolate.

I want to find a recipe for peanut noodles, I would use it in there. 🙂

If you get back to finding another spatula like that, would you pick me up a couple? I would obv pay you for them.

  2. I want to try that stuff! I honestly don’t even think I’ve ran across it at the stores (maybe I just haven’t noticed it). But either way, I’d try it on toast. Because peanut butter toast is the bees knees.

  3. I have that spatula in red. I love it!

I’d eat it with apples. Or chocolate. Or plain. 🙂 I’ve been wanting to try it!

  4. Kierstan says:

I want to snort the PB2, because is sounds like crack! (Do you snort crack? I seriously don’t even know!!) 🙂

But really, could I eat it with a spoon? Or use it instead of flour in peanut butter cookies – this doubling the peanut butteriness??

    • kilax says:

You could eat it with a spoon, but it would not be as satisfactory as dipping a spoon into a jar of PB!

I like your double cookie idea 🙂

  5. abbi says:

Really? It tastes the same? I’d probably just try it on toast/bagel to try it at first as well.

  6. I would love to try the powder in my oatmeal in the morning (long run days). A great way to add peanut butter flavor and protein without the mess! This product sounds like fun and it sounds delicious. I hope I win! 🙂

  7. Emily says:

Wow, very cool! I would love to take the PB2 with me while traveling and then add it to my oatmeal, or to toast. Would also love to make a satay sauce out of it!

  8. bobbi says:

YUMMY!! I’d use it every way I use regular PB…as a spread, a dip, and an oatmeal add in…

  9. Kelsey says:

I have been dying to try this stuff! I would totes use it in my oatmeal!

can we talk for a second about how pretty your nails look?? i watched the video but spent the entire time ooogling over how pretty your nails are!

  10. I think I would try it in my Green Monsters!!! I used to just use it on banana and apples, but using it in shakes is a great idea!

  11. Christina says:

I am trying to get into smoothies in the morning and I think that this would help.

  12. I just started bringing peanut butter and pretzels to work for a snack. I’d totally use this … and probably combine the peanut butter and chocolate flavors for a super delicious snack. Yummy!

  13. Pam says:

    Brilliant!

I still like my caramel almond butter as a spread, but I’d use this PB2 in a smoothie fo sho.

  14. Marcia says:

How cool is this? I’ve never heard of it. I’d definitely use it to smear on my Honeycrisps before they are completely out of season.

  15. Marcia says:

PS that header shot of you is SO badass!

  16. Jamie says:

I want to try it on whole grain waffles! i love pb, i eat it every day!

  17. Beth B. says:

Wow would love to win the PB2 – i also have no control when it comes to peanut butter, sigh. I would use the powder in my morning breakfast smoothie. I also think it would be great to take on trips, when the food is questionable at the destination (like Mexico… i’m not very adventurous).

  18. gina says:

I wonder how it would be on ice cream?

  19. Melie says:

Interesting concept. I’d like to try it, just because I’ve never tried it before. I am not the hugest fun of peanut butter, shocker I know, but I really like it in my smoothies lately. Chocolate protein powder, banana, peanut butter and almond milk. It really is amazing, so that’s how I would try the powder, just to see how it compares.

  20. Mica says:

Super cool! I’ve heard of it, but I never got around to actually trying it myself. I loved the video. Since I already knew how it “works,” I didn’t really need to watch it, I guess! But your voice is always so perky and cheery, I watched it anyway. 🙂

I would put it on bread…and then top that with marshmallow fluff.

  21. Nicole says:

I would use it in oatmeal, for apples, toast…I love All Natural Peanut butter, so good. What a bonus without all the fat.

  22. RunningLaur says:

I would use it to taunt my friend Robin while we are on our road trip, since it’s powdered death to her being allergic to peanuts! (Not super allergic, so she wouldn’t actually die.) And then of course, I’d eat it. I’m thinking it’d be good for traveling, since real peanut butter is considered a paste and not allowed on airplanes unless under 3.2 oz.

  23. Beth says:

I want to mix it in my yogurt!

  24. Michel says:

If you mix is it almost like nutella or peanut butter cups? I would love to try this! Yum!

  25. Laurel C says:

PB2 would be great mixed into yogurt or oatmeal! yum!

  26. Cher says:

Never heard of anything like this! I’d use it on anything!

  27. Anne says:

Wow, I’d love to try this! Especially the chocolate flavor. I’d love to dip an apple in this, or use it in the frozen banana “ice cream” recipe (have you seen this on Pinterest? apparently a frozen banana + nutella = something just like ice cream).

  28. Ian says:

How does chocolate compare to Nutella, guess that applies to any chocolate PB? How would I use it – after run refuel on bagels or in sandwiches with cuecumbers

  29. Steel Springs says:

I’ve been curious about this! I’d like to try it in a smoothie.

  30. shelley says:

I’ve never heard of this..ever..powdered peanut butter? Who knew…I think I would sprinkle it on veggies sauteed in lots of butter…what? 🙂

  31. Beth says:

Looks so interesting! I went to order some and all the samplers are backordered! Boo!

I would eat it on a spoon – just like I eat regular PB. No distractions, just PB!!

    Yummy!

  32. Kate says:

Best giveaway ever! I would love to mix it in with some Greek yogurt. The perfect thing for apple dipping 🙂

  33. Kelly says:

I love PB2 in smoothies or in cookie recipes.

  34. Courtney Ilax says:

I would love to try something new ex. with PB2 and homemade bread 🙂

  35. chezjulie says:

I would use it to make my oatmeal exciting. I love peanut butter!

  36. Liz says:

LOVE this stuff! I eat the chocolate flavor with apples, have yet to try the plain, but I bet it would be great as a mix in to smoothies or even my steel cut oats.

  37. Etta says:

The fact that it’s powdered is kind of weird but I’d put it on apples!
