60°F but feels like 58°F with winds? Overcast and gloomy?!

Feels like fall!

Ahhhhhhhh.

I could run in this all day.

(But not really – I had to get home and take a shower before the installers came to put in a new water heater. Ha ha, I could hear them banging on the old water heater to remove it when I finished my shower… good timing?!)

    Yes! Ahhhhhhhh!

I’m jealous! Our extreme heat did finally break, but it still so humid. I was running through a solid fog this morning and it felt like trying to run through hot soup.

LOL! Hot soup! It’s horrible, right? I haven’t even been trying to get up early to run anymore, because of that! When I saw how cool it would be though, I had to, this day!

The weather change was so abrupt! And so glorious! Big exhale here. Although I guess the heat and humidity will be back next week. : /

Hah, cut that close with the water heater!

Yes – loving this weather! I can’t wait til tonight to get a short run in, it’s so beautiful. It gets a bit warmer next week but you can tell fall is coming – no more 90* days!

  5. I pretty much did a happy dance all around my apartment this morning when I woke up and was COLD. Best feeling ever! Hoping this weather holds out for my run this afternoon (or even if it doesn’t, this is still SUCH an improvement from last weekend that as long as it doesn’t get crazy humid, I have no complaints).

I LOVE THIS WEATHER!!!!! We’ve had all the windows open all morning, and all day yesterday. I could get used to this 🙂

  7. I was SO HAPPY this morning when I left the house!!! I was actually wearing a JACKET. This was a perfectly timed reminder of how glorious fall feels for all of us runners!

  8. HoHo Runs says:

Soooooooo jealous. Still in our swampy heat wave.

    WHERE IS THIS WEATHER??

Wasn’t it strange? Campbell and I both wore coats on the first day of school! Glorious running weather, though! Ironically I didn’t run because the kids had horse lessons and the first day of school always feels like a workout. LOL

May I come visit!? ha! we both apparently like overcast 🙂 I posted a gloomy sky pic today too. I swear I didn’t peek at this first.
    I love that feeling, that chill! I can’t wait…

I am a big fan of gloomy days. I crave one, every once in awhile. And LOL about us posting the same thing! Don’t worry, I am not crazy and won’t call you a copier. I understand that with all the like-minded people in the world, there are probably many similar posts to mine, each day! (Ha ha, don’t get me started on that topic, apparently.)

I did speed work, and even with the wind, it was one of the best runs I’ve had in weeks!

  13. Don’t you love when there’s a break in the weather?? My mom said huge storms came through the NW burbs on Tuesday – did that bring the cool weather?

  14. Joanna says:

We haven’t had too many crazy hot/humid mornings this summer. This week has been super hot until today – so I pushed off my longer faster run until today.
Either way I am going to miss the nice mornings once its below 0 this winter! Also there was an awesome sunrise yesterday! I took a photo of course!

Oooh, such a nice change from summer to fall! It’s funny – in Southern CA, the hottest months are August and September, usually, so there’s no relief until October, really. This summer in Colorado hasn’t been too bad (I don’t think), so I can’t complain.

I remember you mentioning that when you lived there and thinking how different that would be! Here, I expect warmth until the end of August… this August has been a bit different, and that’s ok! (even though it was a little chilly on the windy beach yesterday! LOL!)
