1003

I hit 1000 (well, 1003) miles run for the year, today!

Um, apparently, on the EXACT same day as last year. That was NOT planned. Ha.

I don’t have a goal for total miles run for the year, so consistency is fine with me!

What else happens on June 14th? My snister’s wedding anniversary! Happy Anniversary, snis! Pretty soon we’ll have another June anniversary in the family… my older brother’s wedding is coming up!

  1. Wow, 1,000!! That is awesome!!

Yeah!!! I am so far behind where I usually am at this point in the year, but I’m trying not to worry about it!

Don’t – it totally doesn’t matter in the long run, or really mean anything about your current fitness! It’s just a number.

Dang Kim, that’s great! I run around 500 miles for the year.

  4. Amy says:

Congratulations, Kim! That’s a lot of mileage!

  5. Joanna says:

    Congrats! That is awesome!

You’re so consistent!! 🙂 like 155avg a month!! I was curious what I’ve got for the year and checked- like 1570 total, 1000+ cycling, 520ish running and a few swimming. How many cycling miles do you have so far?

    • kilax says:

Yeah! I try to hit 40pw which gets me to around 166 a month… I think? It ebbs and flows though!

Awesome numbers!!! I’m at 523 for cycling.

Congratulations and yay for consistency! (This reminds me of a mostly unrelated story — In high school jazz band, we all got awards, which means some were less cool than others. I got “Most Consistent,” which seemed like a bit of a stretch. My friend got “Most Spirited.”)

Congrats! One of these days I’d like to hit 1,000 for the year, but that hasn’t happened yet. Usually it’s around 800, so count me as being SUPER impressed with your miles!

    • kilax says:

Aww, thanks! You’re super close at 800 and will totally get there the year you decide to do it – if you decide you still want to. LOL, while I track all this stuff, I am totally not a pusher of people having a number goal like this – it leads some not to listen to their bodies!

  9. Pete B says:

Congrats on 1,003! This is a leap year so did you technically break it a day later? Ha, ha! However, you broke it this year by going an additional 3 miles, so it’s probably a tie! Which year will win? Or will it also be a tie on 12/31? The suspense continues… 🙂

    • kilax says:

LOL! You’re right – I’m behind! Ha! Who knows what will happen with the rest of the year. My mileage usually picks up again in the last few months of the year… we’ll see if I stay true to form!

Wow. That’s pretty awesome to hit that goal. I mean, if i look over to the right on this blog, I see your Miles run in log (which when I’m posting this comment almost a month later, I see you are at 1134 so far). Last year was a lot of miles you ran.
