Saturday Highlights / Under Armour Brave the Run Women’s Tee Giveaway

By , April 23, 2012 6:38 am
  • My mom, sister and her fiancé visited. My mom and sister both have new jobs (!!!) and need new work clothes – time for some shopping, y’all!
  • Steven made homemade cinnamon rolls Saturday morning.
  • We ate lunch at El Famous Burrito.
  • My mom found a ton of cute outfits (click photos to see larger)! My sis did too, no pics though. They got major deals on everything!

  • Cute (man-made material) boots for moi. Only $15. Holla!
  • I tried this on to be funny. Am I cursed now?
  • I found a major deal on this Under Armour shirt that I HAD TO HAVE for me – on the back it says “RAIN. SNOW. SLEET. WIND. BRAVE THE RUN.” (Click images below to see larger)

This shirt is perfect for me because I am always out running in the crazy elements. The only thing that keeps me in is lightening, dangerous ice and bad visibility (okay, and broken garage doors). Do you feel like that describes you too? If it does… you can enter a giveaway to win this shirt! Hey, if it does not describe you, and you want it to, enter as well! Or… just enter! Even if you are male – maybe you have a female friend who would like it!

Under Armour Brave the Run Women’s Tee Giveaway Rules

  1. Four readers will receive an Under Armour Brave the Run Women’s Tee. There are four to giveaway – one in each size – S, M, L and XL. For reference, I am wearing a medium. This is a HeatGear® shirt and meant to be loose but I liked it more fitted.
  2. Required to enter the giveaway: you must tell me which size of shirt (S, M, L or XL) you are entering to win AND tell me if you had to run in one of these elements (rain, snow, sleet or wind) which you would choose.
  3. For an extra entry, link to this giveaway on your blog and leave me an additional comment telling me you did so.
  4. This giveaway is open until 5:00 PM CST on Wednesday April 25. I will probably write names on paper and draw the winner by hand. I will announce the winner on Thursday April 26.
  5. This giveaway is open to all readers.

  1. Stacey says:

Cute shirt! think size M would work.
I have run in all the elements but actually love running in lightly falling snow.

  2. abbi says:

Great shirt. I would definitely choose rain as the best element of the 4 to run in, especially in the summer when it’s refreshing. I’d get a size S!

  3. Kandi says:

Those cinnamon rolls look incredible. Must find breakfast!
I would probably prefer the M shirt. Very cute and very bright! I would choose snow (so long as it wasn’t too slippery). It’s so peaceful and pretty.

  4. bobbi says:

Dude. Now I really want a cinnamon roll!

That shirt RULES! I’d take a medium! 🙂

  5. Tracy says:

I *love* running in the rain. So satisfying. And I would be a size L!
It’s so awesome how you do these contests, Kim! Thank you!

  6. Out of the choices, I would say rain. Because wind and sleet are just horrific! And snow, well, I’d rather be a bit warmer… :p

    (Small)

  7. Kelsey says:

seriously you are making me pick between terrible weather to run in? you know my butt only likes running in perfect conditions, but I guess if I had to run in one with a gun at my head on the whole time (cause that is the only way I would) I would pick wind.

    Size medium please!

  8. Kiersten says:

Love the shirt- it would go perfectly with the embarrassingly large collection of pink running gear I have collected. I would like a medium, and by far my favorite element is snow. I love snow with a passion. A nice easy run on the first snowy morning of the winter (preferably on a quiet dirt road with no traffic) is my idea of heaven. Least favorite? Wind. Unfortunate since I live on the ocean and it is always windy!

  9. Emily says:

Thanks for hosting this giveaway – what a cute shirt! I think a medium would work for me?

If I had to pick one of the elements, I would definitely pick snow. I think it’s actually very fun and festive to run in the snow (as long as the snow is seasonal and not in some ridiculous month like June!) =D

  10. Love that shirt! I would like a small. If I had to choose any one of those elements, I would pick snow. I ran in the snow a couple of times already and I don’t mind it all compared to some of the others. Thanks for hosting–I hope I win! 😛

    • I also wanted to add, that if I ever qualified for Boston and got one of those jackets, I would never take it off, ever. “Are you wearing that to sleep again?” “Yes.”

      • kilax says:

Ha ha ha. You had better buy two jackets then! And you probably actually have a chance of qualifying someday, speedster!

        • I think I do want to give qualifying a try some day. I think it is something I *might* be able to do if I keep building this base I’ve been working at.

And if I ever did, I would probably have to take out a small loan for all of the money I would need to spend at the Boston expo. I’d need to get every piece of clothing possible. Haha

  11. Maggie says:

I would pick snow. As long as it wasn’t too windy 🙂 Does that count? Or rain as long as it wasn’t too chilly.

I think small would fit me best. I looked up the UA size chart, but my measurements never fit nicely in one category.

  12. What a cute shirt! When I was the captain of my high school cross country team, we ordered t-shirts that had my coach’s favorite quite on the back, “Rain, snow, sun – perfect running conditions.” Still one of my favorite shirts!

I’d prefer to run in the snow – especially if the flakes are huge!

    And I wear a small.

  13. Anne says:

Ooh giveaway! A L or XL would both work for me (I see there’s no entries for XL just yet, so if I had to take it to help get it off your hands, I would :)). I’d choose wind because it seems like it’s ALWAYS windy when I run! Rain on a really hot summer day wouldn’t be bad either.

And wow do those cinnamon rolls look amazing! I haven’t tried making them myself, and I have a feeling I’d probably eat that entire pan.

  14. Julie Grimberg says:

I would choose to run in snow. Or maybe rain if its summer time.

I would choose a size small.

  15. Gingerfoxxx says:

I would rather run in snow, but wind is a close second. Snow is just so gosh dang pretty though!!

    I would choose a size small 🙂

  16. Kelly says:

I want a S. If I had to choose, rain, hands down. I feel like such a badass running in the rain.

    • kilax says:

I totally know that feeling! Especially when cars are driving by thinking “WTF?!” LOL!

  17. I used to call myself a “seasonal runner” up until recently, so I love this shirt!

    Size large please!!!

  18. Kristie says:

I would like the medium. And snow would definitely be my first choice – too much rain (esp. for longer distances) = chafing, wind can be a nonstop hill workout when it’s gusty, and sleet gets you wet and cold. Snow is pretty and if you dress warmly no big deal at all. If I’m picking the most hardcore option though, I’d probably go with sleet.

  19. Erin says:

Your mom got some awesome outfits!! I love the one she has on in the dressing room photo.

That UA shirt is the same one I saw at Marshall’s in the ugly yellow color. The pink is WAY better 🙂 So, of course I’d like a small 🙂 And, yes, I’ve run in snow. And rain. And wind. Ugh. Wind. I think, though, if I had to choose I’d go with rain.

    • kilax says:

They had it in teal too! But I liked pink the best. 🙂

My mom wrote me the cutest email this morning. I am sure she wouldn’t care if I shared it with you… (below)

      Dear Abby (Kimberly)

I have a problem, have you noticed when you get something new in your house everything else looks bad, worse than you thought. For example you get a new couch and then you realize how bad the carpet looks so you replace that and the drapes look bad, well that’s how my closet looks after shopping with you and all my beautiful new clothes now everything I own looks yucky. I wanted to save it all for my new job and I can’t bring myself to wear any of my old stuff. What happened?

Signed, Confused closet catastrophe-aka yo momma

PS Do you know who Dear Abby is? (this is suspossed to be a joke but you might be to young to get it)

  20. Michel says:

Honestly? Snow or rain? But I’ve done them all. Probably snow the most as long as I can see the road and my traction isn’t off.
And cool boots and el famous burrito. nice, now I want mexican! lol

XL – though I should be goal setting and go for a L. LOL

  21. Melie says:

This is a really cute T-shirt! which unfortunately does not describe me at all. I am a pretty spoiled SoCal runner and I only run when the elements are to my favor and the stars are aligned. fortunately for me, the weather is almost perfect for running 330/365 days. if i had to choose though, I would say rain. I can’t handle wind and I fall only by looking at snow. Do I qualify to pretend being a badass runner in a medium shirt? 🙂

  22. Kayla says:

A weekend of shopping sounds fun!!! I have seen that shirt before and almost bought it! 🙂 I would choose rain to run in or maybe snow. For the most part I enjoy running in both of those! I would say L for me!

  23. cindy says:

I would love to run in snow, but doubt that that will ever happen.
    Size L

  24. Susan says:

I love that shirt!!! I’d torn between snow and rain because it depends on the types of those. A fresh snow where the ground still has footing available is AMAZING, whereas stomping through six inches of snow is horrible. For rain, a warm rain is nice if it’s not a terrible downpour, but cold rain is horrible. Overall I’d say a fresh snow.

    Size S!

  25. Cher says:

    Medium and definitely snow!

  26. Amy says:

My first thought when I saw the picture was, that is perfect for you! (And then saw that is exactly what YOU say in the text that follows!)

Honestly I wouldn’t want to run in any of those weather conditions (I’d probably go to the gym and run on the treadmill LOL!), but if you twist my arm I guess I guess I would pick snow (and a L please)!

  27. […] Also, Sara gave us some sweet pink shoelaces because she is a rockstar and is a Sweat Pink ambassador. Want some free stuff of your own? Head over to Kim’s blog for an Under Armour shirt giveaway! […]

  28. Taryn says:

I would need a Medium…and I would totally run in the snow. The rain hurts my eyes sometimes…but the snow is soft when it falls (most of the time)!

  29. Lauren says:

I’d like size medium. I’d rather run in very light snow.

  30. nik says:

XL…definitely rain, especially if it’s a warm, hot or even a super-sultry day. And if that warm wet pavement smell is in the scene, so much the better. 🙂

  31. Marcia says:

Dude I want a cinnamon roll too! I’ll go in for the small.
So Boston gear is already at the outlets?? I need to get over there and see if I can replace my ruined tee.

  32. RunningLaur says:

Ha, ok, I had to comment, because out of the 4 options, I’d probably choose snow – which made me think “Huh, what? That’s ridiculous, you hate snow! Who am I?!? Ridiculous!” If they were little small hail balls, or I was in the woods where there’s some cover, I’d probably choose hail, because it’d keep me the most dry. I’d probably be a medium.

  33. J says:

I think I would fit in a size small or medium. I just ran in the snow yesterday, the rain Saturday and Sunday and most likely again in the rain tonight! I just want summer! I love that shirt! It totally describes me -All my friends, coworkers and husband think I am crazy for running in all kind of weather but I just love it!

  34. Mica says:

JFDSKLA;DFSA BOSTON JACKETS. I get so irrationally angry about them! Am I the only one?

Also: congratulations to your momma and sister for their new jobs. How exciting!

As for the shirt, I’d probably wear a small size. I would definitely choose rain. Wind makes it hard to move, snow makes my legs slide around too much, and sleet makes the sidewalks slick.

  35. I have that brave the run shirt in both purple (with yellow letters, I love it) and bright (BRIGHT) neon yellow.

Ironically I bought it right as I was moving to Manila, it was the first thing I got in the mail here, since I purchased on my last day in the US. Ironically, because you know what has happened to my running since then. I guess I’m not braving any runs lately…
