Notes:

  • I keep pushing my speedwork back, later and later in the week. That just goes to show you how much I look forward to it. Ha ha.
  • On that note, it is probably not a good idea to do biking and running intervals on the same day.
  • 80% of my runs were solo this week. The one with Anne was definitely the running highlight!
  • I had licorice and a GU during Sunday’s long run and that worked well! I also ran the whole thing on snow covered sidewalks. I would like to think that makes me a stronger runner? Uh…

No pictures of me. Wah! 🙂

  2. Anne says:

Wow this is an impressive running week to me – First, you did 9 miles on Monday in that bitter cold? And you ran 14 miles BY YOURSELF and through the snow today? I don’t think I could handle that much alone time with my thoughts.

And I’m so flattered I was a highlight for the week! That was such a fun run!

Thanks 🙂 I really do not mind the cold! It is my crazy all over the place thoughts that get to me. Mostly because I want to write them down and can’t!

I had a blast too! I hope Wednesday works out, and I am already thinking about the next week 🙂

At yesterday’s half marathon there was snow for the first mile or so I felt so bad ass for running on the snow lol. Nice job on the speed work.

  4. Emily says:

You look super hard core in all of your pictures wearing your winter gear. Don’t mess with you!!!!!!! =D

  5. Erin says:

Haha- I like the comment about annoying breathing through a hood. Totally agree! But at least it is going to be in the 50s the next couple of days. Perfect perfect weather!

  6. woohooo, nice 14 miler!

  7. Erin says:

Jealous that your cold runs get to be in the daylight (usually)! Okay, not really jealous. It just makes it so much easier (for me) to get out there.

Check you out! That is an incredible week. I love licorice on runs, as long as it’s black. The red doesn’t go so well with my stomach. :'(

    • kilax says:

I LOVE black licorice. I should try that too. I had the soft red kind, strawberry flavor. I don’t think I could do Twizzlers 😉
