What’s on your “simple pleasures” list?

*Is it just me, or does the electronic part of these things only seem to last a year or even a few months? Seems I am buying new ones each year. Annoying.

Yes to brushing CB and consequently removing the fur from the brush (also just holding the brush still hike he walks under it)

Hell to the yes about the dryer lint removal.

Just seeing the skyline while out for a run makes me super happy.

CB running to find daddy each morning after our walk before he gets fed. (He has to run to L first before I give him foodz)

Ha! I thought I would be the only one with the dryer lint thing. Woo hoo!

Aww! I love that morning routine!!! That is an awesome simple pleasure!

  2. I LOVE cleaning out the lint trap. It’s a sick pleasure – not a simple one for me. For some reason, the screen doesn’t collect everything so I have to get in there with a wire coat hangar. Getting gobs of lint is so rewarding.

I also love hitting an even number on a run and NS each mile. I love an almost empty and CLEAN fridge. And, last night, I was ecstatic to find a pair of black crop pants in the back of the closet. I couldn’t remember where I had put them and boom! Here they are for spring.

    • kilax says:

Ooooo! That is highly rewarding!!! And the more you get to pick off, the better, right?!

Oh yes, I love seeing space in the fridge. Opening it and having a ton of stuff on the shelves makes me feel the need to purge!

Did you get to wear capris this weekend?!

  3. Kiersten says:

YES YES YES to the wallflower. I don’t know why that stupid things is so hard to get right!

My other favorite is when I pick just the right sized dish to put left-overs in.

    • kilax says:

They made them screw in in reverse just to be difficult, I swear!

Oh gosh, heck yeah! And then it fills it up and fits w/o spilling? Ahh… 🙂

  4. Ooooh, how’d you get the muck off your boots?? Mine are all gross from winter, but I’m afraid of ruining them, so I haven’t attempted to clean them at all yet. They certainly could use some TLC, though.

    • kilax says:

My boots are fake leather, so I would just clean them with a paper towel and water each time they got nasty. Are yours a more sensitive material? I hope you can get them clean! 🙂

      • I actually have no idea what material mine are. True story: my boots are hand-me-downs from my mom, who bought/wore them when she was in college (so sometime between 1977 and 1981). Vintage! Haha. (Also: free. My favorite price 😛 ) But it’s really mostly the heel/toes that are dirty, so I imagine water won’t do too much damage, at least to the heels.

Brushing your cat … oh yeah. I’m supposed to do that, huh?

Simple pleasure: parallel parking without having to “Austin Powers” it.

    • kilax says:

Ha ha ha. I guess I will have to google this Austin Powers reference!!! I like to parallel park… especially since I have a backup camera!

  6. I have a mileage spreadsheet too! High five!

  7. Losing Lindy says:

I love wallflowers..we are out of them..sad day and I won’t pay full price. I love cleaning out the lint too, it is no wonder why our clothes get thin

  8. bobbi says:

this week my simple pleasure is peeling blue tape off trim and door frames 🙂

  9. Mica says:

Hmm, I think cleaning out the lint filter is one of my simple pleasures this week too. Also, cleaning off a mirror that has specks on it!
